A615 Rebar
ASTM A615 rebar is most commonly used in low-stress and less-demanding applications and makes an economical choice in situations where a tremendous level of tensile strength is not necessarily needed. Its strength and performance characteristics are grade-dependent, and A615 rebar is available in a full range of standard sizes, including: No. 3 through No. 11, No. 14 and No. 18.
Available Grades:
Atlanta Rebar offers plain rebar in the following grades:
- Grade 40: This rebar grade has a minimum yield strength of 40 thousand pounds per square inch (kpsi) under normal conditions.
- Grade 60: This rebar grade offers enhanced yield strength of at least 60 thousand pounds per square inch (kpsi) under normal conditions.
- Grade 75
- Grade 80
Deformed Rebar Options:
Though A615 rebar by definition is comprised simply of deformed, plain carbon steel, it can be enhanced with epoxy coatings or other strength and durability-enhancing treatments if project requirements demand it. At Atlanta Rebar, we pride ourselves on offering customers the ability to customize their rebar products to precision specifications, so if you need A615 rebar with augmented performance specifications, we are happy to fill your order.
Usage of A615 Rebar
A615 rebar increases the tensile strength of concrete and can be used for both primary and secondary reinforcement. It helps absorb stress and weight and facilitates the more even distribution of the tension caused by the expansion and contraction of concrete when it is exposed to heat and cold, respectively.
Atlanta Rebar is a leading concrete reinforcing steel Supplier and fabricator in and the Southeast U.S.
